About First Steps Preschool

Learning should be fun! We believe in celebrating the joy and wonder of childhood in everything we do, with laughter in abundance, to inspire a love of learning. Each First Steps classroom is specially designed to help your child feel happy and excited about the day ahead, while our teachers are experts in making learning fun. We ensure that music and arts are alive in our classrooms, as well as a variety of educational activities including reading, math, science, dramatic play, social and emotional games, and more to excite children about all the wonders the world has to offer.

First Steps has been around for over 30 years, providing a safe and loving environment for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. Open to all families, including those with child care assistance, First Steps is located inside the Utah State Department of Health building in Salt Lake City. With four classrooms, three separate playgrounds, a private full-time Kindergarten, a large child-friendly bathroom, real-time electronic updates for parents, and the most competitive prices in the valley, First Steps is very desirable and promises to be a wonderful environment for every child.
